Career-Focused Social Networkers

FAST FACTS

They’re a tech-savvy bunch who are establishing careers and building lives.

They’re Young Professionals. And they’re reshaping the way we communicate and market.

Just a few short years ago, Young Professionals were known for spending the bulk of their income. But times have changed. And so has this audience. On average, Young Professionals now plan on saving $12,000 annually.1 Paradoxically, just 6% say they plan to buy only what they can afford.2

And then there’s the social networking aspect. Seventy-eight percent of 18-to-34-year-old Internet users are social networkers.3 But when it comes to social-media marketing with this set, the most successful tactics focus on conversation and engagement rather than outright conversion.4

Also, cause marketing resonates especially well with the 18-to-34-year-old demographic. They support social issues like animal rights, renewable energy, and equal rights far more than the general population.5
